The last year we became aware about the importance of living connected with nature. It has made us more conscious about the necessity of inhabiting natural places around cities as well as caring for the gardens adjacent to our homes. There has also been an increase in the number of people who have decided to return to rural areas.

“I can’t hear the noise of the city because of the birds”, deals with the concerns of people who redesign and care for the small portions of land they own. Through this project, Lois analyses the front gardens of the houses in Enschede, understanding that weeds, plants and all the elements that compose them are part of that nature that keeps us alive.
